What is a Heart's Song?

Do you have a song? You know that piece of music that you can't help but dance to?

A song that lights you up and you radiate joy?

That's your song!

What if it was more than a piece of music? What if your heart's song was the beautiful journey that is your life?

Your one and only voice is needed in this world.

Maybe right now you are feeling lonely or that "no one understands"; like your gifts might be labeled as "weird" or "odd". Maybe the way you learn, think, see, and experience the world is different. Or you "just don't fit" into the worlds around you. Maybe you feel lost, life is feeling stuck and uncomfortable right now. Like your song has been muted.

You deserve to live your life dialed up to 11!

If you are looking for someone to listen and support you as you compose your heart's journey, you have come to the right place! Heart's Song is here to support you so you can live life to your fullest song!

In case you haven't heard it today, you are enough, you belong here, and you are valued in this world.

"You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you know."

A.A. Milne - Whinnie the Pooh

About Ashley

Hi! I'm Ashley, and I am glad you are here!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and RYT 500 in the state of Colorado, who specializes in working with folks 8-25 and their families.

As a young person, I was a renaissance person of sorts; well that hasn't changed too much! I identify with athletes, scientists, musicians, bookworms, writers, and artists.

However, growing up as a person with many interests, many of them considered "geek", it was sometimes difficult to know where I belonged within life's different social circles. I often times thought differently than my peers and being more introverted I prefered to observe before participating. My anxiety wanted to have predicability so I could feel comfortable and I learned how to "fit" into these different settings to avoid embarrassment or shame, rather than being seen for myself. It is through my yoga, mindfulness, and self-discovery practices that I have been able to walk and dance my life to my own eclectic song.

If this sounds like you, I see you! I am a therapist and yoga teacher who embraces you.  I invite you to show up as who you are and I will walk with you through the growth of being in tune with your truest song!

About Juniper

Hello! I'm Juniper. I am a certified therapy dog through Professional Therapy Dogs of Colorado. I have been loving my work in schools and private practice since October 2020! Finding my most passionate job wasn't easy at first. When I was a puppy I was training to be a scent-based service dog. I loved finding things, especially treats! But it just wasn't right for me. I would get distracted or bored and not do what I was supposed to all the time... and I dropped out of service dog training.

This obstacle just pointed me in the right direction, because my trainer noticed my other talents. She noticed that I was loving and in tune with the people around me. I wanted to share comfort and joy. That's when my trainer introduced me to Ashley, and we became a team! Now I get to live and work my best life playing and teaching skills like patience, emotions recognition, emotion regulation, and social skills. I get to play games I don't have to be perfect at to help people! I also get lots of pets and treats! I love my job and my people!

Living Our Heart's Song

Ashley LCSW, enjoying some down time paddling on a mountian lake.

I feel incredibly lucky that I get to do my heart's work everyday! In order to maintain my personal wellbeing, I practice my own combination of wellness practices. You will hear me say often "I won't ask you to do anything I am not also willing to do or haven't done myself".  And I mean it!

Beyond the office, we are happiest exploring and adding to our collection of experiences! Juniper and I love to travel, paddle board, hike, play ball, and enjoy time in our garden. I also love live music, museums, crafting, a good book, and coffee and tea.
